Glossary & FAQ

The mine has its own language. Here is every word that matters, in plain English, plus fast answers to the questions every new digger asks, each one linking to the full chapter.

Glossary

Dig
A buy. Digging a coin means buying it through its pool. The whole platform vocabulary flows from the mine metaphor.
The Mine
The home page: every coin live on Diggers, in trending, new, and table views.
Digging pts
Points credited on every pool trade, proportional to size, with buys scoring 4x sells. Daily pts fight for the pot; lifetime pts rank the global Top Diggers. See digging points.
Shift
One 24 hour round of a coin's daily contest. Each coin's shift clock starts at its launch and rolls forever. See daily contest.
Daily Contest Pot
The prize pool parked on each coin: the unburned share of token-side fees. Split one tenth each by the shift's top 10 diggers who still hold at settlement.
Harvest
The automatic collection and split of accrued pool fees, triggered automatically once a small threshold of fees has piled up. See auto harvesting.
Burn share
The creator-chosen fraction (0% to 100%, standard 50%) of token-side fees destroyed at every harvest. The rest becomes the Daily Contest Pot. See burn fee.
Buyback
An optional pot, fed by a creator's fee slice and by community tips, that the launchpad spends on buys and burns after each buy. See buyback & burn.
Sniper Defense
The anti-whale shield: until a coin graduates, no wallet can hold over 2% of supply (20,000,000 tokens). It lifts at graduation. See 24h Sniper Defense.
Graduation
The pump.fun-style milestone: a coin graduates once 80% of its supply has been bought out of the pool, lifting the 2% cap. See graduation.
Blue chip
The live earned rank on a graduated coin: 500 holders, $1M lifetime volume, and a $500K average market cap. See Blue chip status.
Seal / aurora
A sealed name is a live Blue chip holding its registry keys; the aurora is the animated shimmer its name wears site-wide. See names & the flex.
At risk
A coin slipping toward losing its Blue chip status. The flex turns off and, after a 48h grace, the name reopens. See keeping blue chip.
Lock / vesting
A tranche schedule in the standalone locker that escrows a wallet's coins until they vest. See vesting locks.
$GEM
The ecosystem token: 40% airdropped by lifetime digging points across every chain, with staking and backing revenue share. See the $GEM airdrop.
$DIG
The legacy OG coin from the first era, mined by early diggers, no utility beyond the flex. See $DIG, the OG coin.
Rescued / Noxa
Survivor tokens of Robinhood Chain's dead launchpad, listed and tradable on Diggers through their original pools, clearly marked. See rescued tokens.
Renounced
A config key permanently given up: the reward table or burn split it controlled is frozen forever. See ownership & renounce.

Quick answers

Can the creator rug my coin?
No. Liquidity is unremovable, supply is unmintable, trading cannot be paused, and no owner can touch balances. The worst any creator can do is sell tokens they legitimately hold. Full threat model in security & anti-rug.
Why did my sell not ask for an approval?
Because Diggers coins do not need one: the token trusts only the launchpad, only for your own tokens, only while you are the one selling. It is strictly safer than a normal approval. See approve-free trading.
Why did my big buy revert on a fresh coin?
You hit the anti-whale cap: no wallet can hold over 2% of supply until the coin graduates. Size under the cap, or wait for graduation to lift it. See 24h Sniper Defense.
I was in the top 10 but got nothing at settlement. Why?
You must still hold the coin when the shift settles. Sold-out leaders forfeit, and their slice rolls into tomorrow's pot. See daily contest.
How do I earn the $GEM airdrop?
Just dig. Every pool trade scores lifetime digging points across every chain, buys score 4× sells, and 40% of $GEM is split by those points. See the $GEM airdrop.
What does the blue ticker mean?
The coin reached Blue chip: it graduated, then cleared at least 500 holders, $1M of lifetime volume, and a $500K average market cap, all measured on-chain. See Blue chip status.
Can I launch without any special settings?
Yes: quick launch needs only a name, ticker and image, uses solid defaults, and ships your coin born renounced. See the creator quick start.
What are the greyed-out Noxa tokens?
Rescued survivors of the chain's dead launchpad, tradable through their original pools but not built by Diggers. Trade them at your own risk. See rescued tokens.

FAQ

01What is a dig?

A buy. Diggers language maps mining to trading: digging is buying, diggers are traders, and the mine is the market.

02What is the Daily Contest Pot?

Each coin's rolling prize pool, funded by its own token-side trading fees. Every 24 hours the top 10 point scorers split it, one tenth each, paid in the coin.

03What is graduation?

The milestone a coin hits when 80% of its supply has been bought out of the pool. It lifts the 2% anti-whale cap and opens the door to Blue chip status.

04What does Blue chip mean on Diggers?

A live status a graduated coin earns by clearing three on-chain bars (500 holders, $1M volume, $500K average market cap). It locks the coin's name and ticker while held and renders the blue ticker across the site.

05What is the difference between $GEM and $DIG?

$GEM is the ecosystem token, airdropped by lifetime digging points across every chain, with staking and backing revenue share. $DIG is the nostalgic OG coin from the first era, mined by early buys, with no utility beyond the flex.
